It's been a goal of mine to get it together enough to make a business card. They lend an air of professionalism to a business that might be very small or brand new. Also, they are a quick way for people to associate an image with your product. Don't underestimate how important branding is, even for a small business! A specific image or aesthetic will keep your product in the minds of customers. Also, having a tangible object to give a potential customer makes a bigger impact than giving out a phone number or rattling off the name of your company and telling them to "google it" (especially if, like me, you don't have a website that is simply "thenameofyourcompany".com).
However, I don't want to print up hundreds of cards when my contact information changes all the time. So I figured out a solution I can live with.
I will get together some cute friends and photograph them in my necklaces. My final image might be of a person modeling a necklace or it might turn out to be something more abstract like a very close up image of some stitching and fabric. In any case, the image will be memorable, eye-catching, and say something about my business. I will get a few hundred printed up at one of the many affordable card printing businesses that can be found online. On one side will be my image and on the other side a subtle pattern, flat color, or white. I can then print up clear stickers on my home printer with my current contact information. If it changes, as it does regularly, I can just print out some new labels.
